Empathy No. 080
Sorry for the absence, but duty calls and it's been calling a lot lately. Yeah, it's not fair to you at all, but do you think this letter might make up for it just the tiniest bit? Hope it ends up in your hand - I'm passing this to you through a friend like I'm a prisoner. Really, this job feels like jail sometimes, and I'm just crossing my fingers waiting for parole.
While I'm apologizing, I really have to say sorry for hustling you out the door the other day. I'm not quite the romantic, huh? Oh, I have my moments - I must, otherwise how could I have drawn the eye of a young nymph like you? Still, a real gentlemen takes care of his vixen, and I really didn't. But there I am going to make it up to you. A night out? The whole night, just the two of us? It's looking like I'm getting a work release soon, and that time is all yours.
This is where I should stop writing, because if I go any farther it's bound to make you uncomfortable, especially if you friend decided to sneak a peek (in which case, hello there - please close this and do what I asked, okay?). But don't let this whole thing make you feel awkward, Ellie. If we're both happy, then we should be happy, and you will know the truth in that when you're my age.
Until I break out,
